Multi-core, end-emitting fibre cable is insulated in a black UV protected sheath. The fibre cores are made of PMMA (PolyMethylMethAcrylate) and transmits cold light from the illuminator with no electricity or heat in the fibre cable.
End emitting fibres emit light only from their ends and primarily used in low level and ambient lighting, however the larger the fibre core diameter the more light transmission will occur resulting in more light intensity. End emitting fibre cables are found in outdoor and indoor path ways, landscapes, pools and spas benefiting from the flexibility and no electricity in the cable.
Depending on the application, the fibre cable ends can be left as a clean-cut finish or fitted with a fibre optic fitting. End fittings allow designers to produce different light beam angles and light diffusion effects through the fitting's lens without the need of a powered LED fitting.
Fibre cables can be delivered on rolls for onsite cutting and processing. Alternatively, LightEFX can customise and prefabricate fibre cable lengths tailored to your specific projects. Call now to discuss your needs or requirements for best solution on 1300 762 299.
