Product Description
Perimeter or strip lighting with fibre cable is safe to use in pools, spas, saunas and steam rooms as there is no heat or electricity in the fibre cable, this also means there is no globes or LEDs that need to be replaced or maintained. The fibre cable is also UV stable, chlorine and salt water-resistant so you can be assured once installed it will not corrode.
The IP43 rated illuminator is of stainless steel 304 construction typically stored in the pool pump room, alternatively can be installed in outdoor environments or a pit with ventilation. An 80-watt LED light source delivers the light to the fibre cable for an efficient and long life LED of approx. 40,000 hours.
The unit has 6 colours that cycle through or a colour can be chosen to set the desired mood. In standard mode the illuminator is operated via a wireless remote, with the optional DMX interface integration with home automation is possible such as Dynalite, CBUS, Control4 and other RS232 and serial protocols via the optional DMX module purchased separately.
To house the fibre cable clear tracking is mounted either on the wall of the pool or underneath the coping if there is an overhanging edge of no less than 35mm. Once tracking is fixed to the pool the fibre strip cable is simply inserted with both ends of the cable looping back to the illuminator.
Fibre cable strip lighting can be partially or fully submerged in water without complications from pool heating and depth issues found with IP LED strip lighting.
