Single core, end-emitting fibre cables are a single core insulated in a black UV protected sheath. The fibre core is made of PMMA (PolyMethylMethAcrylate) and transmits cold light from the illuminator with no electricity or heat in the fibre cable.
End-emitting fibres emit light only from their ends and primarily used for the starry night sky effect and path lighting. Other forms of end-emitting lighting are in landscapes and artworks, such as sculptures benefiting from the flexibility and no electricity in the cable.
Depending on the application, the fibre cable ends can be left as a clean-cut finish or fitted with a fibre optic fitting. End fittings allow designers to produce different light beam angles and light diffusion effects through the fitting's lens without the need of a powered LED fitting.
Fibre cables can be delivered on rolls for onsite cutting and processing. Alternatively, LightEFX can customise and prefabricate fibre cable lengths tailored to your specific projects. Call now to discuss your needs or requirements for best solution on 1300 762 299.
